The Last Thing They Saw

With a lightning sweep of her hand, Alanea had retrieved her scythe, and butted the end of it into Yikaddo's turned back.
The scene was chaotic. Taykaoshu were fleeing in all directions, some were trying to re-capture the prisoners, some were trying to fight the wolf off of their leader. Alanea was dodging and leaping with supernatural dexterity, her hair whirling in a curtain around her as she sliced and cut in all directions at the foes.
Alanea held up her scythe, feet planted firmly on the ground. The blade began to glow and shimmer, and as Li looked she noticed that the metal was strangely iridescent, showing a rainbow sheen. Leaving a sparkling streak of color behind, the blade was swung down and struck with a noise like lightning and thunder into the ground. Fissures split in all directions from it like a star, beams of rainbow light pouring forth.
"What are you?" Li asked.
"I'm a Goddess."
Li snorted. "Of course."
